The European Journal of Clinical Microbiology & Infectious Diseases is an interdisciplinary journal that presents communications on infectious diseases of bacterial, viral, fungal or parasitic origin. Coverage includes pathogenesis, diagnosis, epidemiology, therapy and prevention of infectious diseases. <br/><br/>The journal publishes articles, concise articles, editorials, reviews, brief reports or letters to the editor. Articles present results or original research in the form of a full-length study, whereas concise articles present such results in condensed form, or present preliminary findings or case reports of truly exceptional interest. Brief reports present findings of interest in a condensed format. Letters to the editor comment on publications in the journal.
